Virgin London Marathon 2011

In association with TRO and Lucozade, Piccadilly’s Rugby Team were helping spur on the nearly 50,000 runners at this years Virgin London Marathon.
Piccadilly were approached to provide sound and technical support for TRO at two points along the runners course; mile 19 and mile 23.
At mile 19 in the Docklands, the big blue Lucozade party bus was used as a celebration zone, providing a spectator area for VIP guests including previous Olypian Atheletes. Here we provided a system of Logic speakers to give the full effect of the live DJ, as well as technical support with our in-house crew throughout the event.
Further down at mile 23 activities along the route included performances from a local Gospel Choir, Steel Band and DJ. Using Turbosound from various points, runners and the surrounding spectators enjoyed a clear and crisp sound.
With multiple PA systems, including 12 BOSE Speakers Piccadilly ran the entertainment alongside the runners down in to the tunnel. Other support Kit included a Sennheiser 6-way rack, and new range of Sennheiser radio microphones.
