Manchester boxing hero Ricky Hatton gave out awards, not punches, when he met young apprentices at the Apprentice 2009 Awards.
Councillor Bernard Priest, Executive Member for Finance and Human Resources said: “I would like to extend my congratulations to all our apprentices in particular those who have won awards. These young people have done exceptionally well and deserve huge praise for their commitment and hard work. By being offered the chance of an apprenticeship they have reaped the rewards in the practical experience that this project offers.
